Adam Tranter

Having attempted a career as a professional racing cyclist, Adam was well-placed to start writing about the sport when his competitive two-wheeled ambitions didn’t pan out. He has certainly had greater success since however, setting up Fusion Media in 2008, The Running Channel in 2018, alongside BikeisBest and Streets Ahead Podcast in 2019. Adam is passionate about getting more people on bikes through Fusion, and also through his previous work as Cycling & Walking Commissioner for the West Midlands. He is father to twin boys and loves a good bit of active travel infrastructure.

Wiesia has worked for 20 years in the sports industry across event management, athlete management, marketing, and has been an integral part of Fusion since 2011.
Outside of work, Wiesia’s happy place is being lost in the woods. V has raced crit, road and track, but perhaps her most impressive feat on the bike is completing the Transcontinental in 2017! Wiesia was nominated for BikeBiz Women of the Year 2022.

With 5 years spent as Commercial Marketing Manager at Rouleur, Miles brings a media-first strategic understanding of the industry and a penchant for creativity developed over 10 years of experience working in design. Miles joined Fusion in 2021 to lead our client strategy and creative teams, delivering projects across our client roster. Miles brings his creative background to Fusion, as well as his passion for diversifying cycling and cycling’s image. Miles is keen on riding road bikes (sometimes even racing them), but when he’s not on two wheels he’s a self-confessed geek in the worlds of gaming, movies, interior design and architecture.

Ben brings a wealth of design experience to Fusion, having designed brands and identities for a handful of BBC, Channel 4, and Netflix shows, some of the UK’s biggest music festivals, in addition to working with Apple to design and develop user guides. Ben does his best creative thinking whilst on a bike, which leads him to ride almost every day. When he’s not on two wheels or behind a desk, he might be found behind a drum kit. In his younger days he toured Europe in a Mercury Music prize nominated band!

Aurélie moved from France to the UK in 1999 with a dual degree in international business management and sports therapy. She worked in 17 countries with British Triathlon to look after athletes during major championships and was part of the London 2012 Athletes Medical Team.
Her core business skills are project management, efficiency, investment finance and process reengineering.
Aurélie is a passionate advocate of active travel and the mum of two active little boys. She set up Warwickshire’s first school cycle bus to help children cycle safely to school.
She now lives in Lisbon, thinking up new ways to promote urban mobility.

Trudy was previously the Member of Parliament for Copeland since 2017, and a Minister in both the Transport and Environment (Defra) departments. She brings a wealth of experience, and her appointment reflects Fusion Media’s commitment to delivering unparalleled insight and strategic advice to its clients.
Harrison is respected across the political spectrum and served as the former Prime Minister’s Parliamentary Private Secretary at the time when Gear Change, recognised as one of the key developments in active travel in recent years, was developed under the Johnson government. Harrison was the minister responsible for active travel at the time of the formation of Active Travel England.

With more than a decade of experience in special-interest journalism and brand communications, he brings deep expertise across the lifestyle, fitness and cycling sectors, skilfully combining editorial insight with strategic brand thinking. His work centres on creative storytelling and concept development that give brands a clear voice and genuinely resonate – driven by a desire to spark fresh, compelling stories.
When he’s not at his desk in Cologne, you’ll find him on his road bike, out surfing or experimenting in the kitchen — always guided by curiosity, passion and a zest for action.

Emily joins Fusion with over 10 years of PR experience working with some of the UK’s biggest brands. She also brings her extensive knowledge of live sporting events, having worked on high profile UK and international bike races including the Tour of Britain, Strade Bianchi, Gent Wevelgem and La Vuelta. Outside of work, Emily is a keen film photographer and loves exploring new places and finding the absolute best cup of coffee she can.

Mathilde – A passionate communicator with a background in PR, Mathilde specialises in helping brands build meaningful connections with their audience. Originally from France and now based in London, she brings her love for cycling and community-building to Fusion.
With a deep passion for micromobility and inclusive cycling, Mathilde was recognised in Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling 2024 for her work in making cycling more accessible. She played a key role at VOLT Bikes in championing e-bikes as a tool for reshaping urban mobility, building an empowered e-biking community, and amplifying voices from underrepresented groups. Her efforts in the cycling industry also earned her the Micromobility BikeBiz Award in 2023 and a shortlisting for BikeBiz’s Woman of the Year 2024.
Alongside her work in PR, Mathilde is the founder of LNDN Surf Girls, a community dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces for women in the surf scene. When she’s not working or surfing, you’ll find her exploring new cycling routes, traveling, or hunting down the best croissants in town.

Having worked for over a decade in the industry, Euan brings his knowledge of the cycling world to Fusion to great effect. Growing up as a racing cyclist, Euan has competed in track, road, crit, cyclocross and even fixed gear crit races, but now enjoys running and swimming, as well as less-competitive cycling. His career in the cycling industry officially started when he became a coach at Hearne Hill Velodrome, where he progressively rose through the ranks to become Assistant Manager - through this, he has helped thousands of people discover cycling.

Ellen Plas is an all-round professional with over 25 years of experience across sports, marketing, communications, and organisational roles at international level. A true creative generalist, she has worked closely with global brands, elite athletes, and senior executives, supporting complex projects and high-profile environments with discretion and precision.
Her background includes long-term roles at adidas and PUMA, where she played a key role in major international campaigns, events, and athlete programs, working alongside federations, partners, and well-known personalities. In parallel, Ellen has deep roots in professional cycling, having worked hands-on with elite athletes and teams worldwide.
Fluent in six languages (English, German, Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish), Ellen combines strategic thinking with strong organisational skills, cultural sensitivity, and a calm, supportive approach. She is known for operating seamlessly behind the scenes while enabling others to perform at their best.
At Fusion, Ellen brings her experience, versatility, and passion for sport to support meaningful, authentic work across projects and partnerships.

Matt joins Fusion with experience in both the cycling industry and Parliament. He previously worked as a Store Supervisor at Evans Cycles before pursuing a degree in Politics and International Relations at university, after which he worked for Sir Jeremy Quin in Parliament. A passionate road cyclist, Matt has participated in crit races but now prefers to take on some of the most hardest cycling challenges worldwide. His most recent achievement being the Marmotte Gran Fondo in the french Alps.

Lindsey leads on influencer management and strategy for Fusion. She’s a keen road and gravel rider, based in Girona, and was formerly the Global Social & Influencer lead at Rapha.

With a background spanning commercial media, marketing and music, Lewis brings a creative,
audience-first perspective to growth marketing. Before joining Fusion as Growth Marketing Manager,
he spent several years at Future, working across the Future Publishing brands as Global Account Manager,
helping partners deliver impactful commercial marketing campaigns and connect with cycling audiences around the world.
Outside of work, Lewis is a passionate runner, recently achieving personal bests
including a 2:51 London marathon. Whether developing growth strategies or chasing the next PB,
he's driven by curiosity, creativity and a constant desire to improve.

Pedro has worn many hats, from children's party entertainer to diesel truck mechanic, before finding his calling as a Creative Strategist at leading agencies like JUDAS and McCann Lisbon.
Now at Fusion, he brings that same curiosity to understanding what moves brands and people.
One of many Covid cyclists, Pedro rides, above all, for the joy of it. Style over performance, always. He's deeply embedded in Lisbon's cycling community and its LisBORA weekly ride, because for him, it's all about the people you ride with.

Helen has been at Fusion since 2019, bringing her diverse skill set to the company. Having worked in various positions at the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club throughout her 14 years there, Helen has insights into the inner workings of various departments. Prior to that, Helen has also been a nanny in Greece and the French Alps. Outside of work, Helen enjoys dog walks, fresh air, and being by the sea. When at home, Helen loves cooking, baking and a good book - especially mysteries and thrillers.

Ben has been riding a bike since he can remember. Having dabbled in several sectors of the bike industry, from small IBDs to large brands, Ben has a tremendous amount of knowledge within cycling. Having lived and worked in New Zealand and France, Ben - a non native French speaker - paired with his degree in Business Management and Foreign Languages is an international asset to any client.

Jack joined Fusion in 2025 following two and a half years working in PR and public affairs working on projects across energy, the built environment and event management. Jack has also had a previous career in competetive cycling, racing full time in Europe for several teams at the highest level in the under 23 category. Despite stepping away from road racing, Jack still retains a passion and love all things exercise. Jack splits his time at Fusion between the Public Affairs and PR teams bringing his experience and never-say-no attitude to his varied client base. Out of the office, Jack is likely to be found on a bike racing gravel events across the UK and Europe.

Gavin has seven years experience delivering integrated PR campaigns across Europe in the lifestyle, outdoor, consumer and cycling sectors. His experience spans both agency and in-house organisations, and he specialises in product launches, proactive media strategy, thought leadership and press office management.
Away from work, Gavin can usually be found exploring the outdoors, planning his next trip abroad or embarking on a new adventure on his gravel bike.

Tom has over seven years of digital marketing experience that he’s packed up in his bike bags and brought along to Fusion Media. A passionate storyteller with a knack for engaging audiences, he knows how to craft campaigns that deliver results across both organic and paid channels. On the bike, Tom is a true gravel rider, always looking for trouble and the next trailhead. He loves joining community bike events and meeting new cyclists.

With 7 years as Senior Project Manager at Artsy, Rachel brings a unique blend of artistic sensibility and technology expertise to the cycling industry. She co-founded Vetra Bikes, a custom bike brand at the intersection of visual culture and cycling, where she led PR, brand development, and marketing. As Founder of Chicane Bike Club, Berlin's largest women/FLINTA bike club, Rachel is committed to diversifying cycling culture and building inclusive communities. She is passionate about travel and bikepacking, regularly contributing to bikepacking.com and bringing this adventurous spirit to her work at Fusion.

Jana brings 13 years of experience in fashion, lifestyle, and urban outdoor communications. With roots in traditional craftsmanship and design, she blends concept development, storytelling, and visual communication in a unique way. Away from work, Jana is rarely standing still. She inherited her passion for cycling from her father and brought her love of climbing from Southern Germany to Berlin. If she’s not riding the trails between Brandenburg and Berlin, you’ll most likely find her bouldering at a local gym or out with her dog Wilma, chasing crows.

Theola joins Fusion with experience in Parliament, agency, and research. She previously worked as a Sustainability Research Intern at King’s College London, specialising in travel; as an intern at a public affairs agency; and, most recently, supporting local communities through her research with the non-profit Citizens Advice.
A keen advocate for movement for all, Theola enjoys extremely casual and amateur running, cycling, and walking. Outside the office, she is often trail running or strolling through the woods. When the weather is less forgiving, she enjoys DJing and weightlifting.

A true mountain enthusiast, Anna swapped the rolling hills of the UK for the high peaks and snowy slopes of Canada for some serious snowboarding and biking. Returning to the UK, she worked for Canyon for two years before finding her dream role at Fusion Media. Currently, Anna is undertaking a Level 4 Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing (CIM) which she enjoys applying at work. Anna enjoys mountain biking, running, fitness classes and enjoys being around nice, fun people.

Once a Parliamentary Assistant and now a Labour Councillor (and Active Travel Champion) in Wandsworth, Jack brings his unique blend of skills to Fusion Media. Joining us as Junior Account Executive in 2020 and now a Senior Account Manager, he uses his background in politics to head up much of Fusion’s advocacy work, including with the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Cycling and Walking. When riding bikes, Jack loves taking his Brompton on adventures, from London to Oxford, Brighton, Cambridge, and beyond.
