Crafted from high-end stainless steel, the Erdgeschoss is built to persist, so even when you're a million miles from civilisation, your bike is one thing you don't have to worry about.

(28th October, Berlin, Germany) Standert, the boutique bicycle brand hailing from Berlin, specialising in steel and aluminium bikes, are thrilled to announce the launch of the new Erdgeschoss.  A bike built to persist, bringing the farthest corners of the globe just that little bit closer.

  2. Carefree persistence, on every terrain

Love Never Rusts

The magical ride quality and durability of steel is no secret, and with stainless steel you can rest assured the Erdgeshoss will last a lifetime.  To highlight this incredible material, the Erdgechoss colourways both include stunning raw finish touches, accentuating the beauty of steel.

Keep Calm and Carry More

If you want to attach it to your bike, the Erdgeshoss has a mount for it.  From mudguards to racks, bags on the top tube and extra bottle cages under the down tube, the Erdgeschoss frame and its Columbus Cross + carbon fork allow you to attach anything needed for those extra long rides into the wilderness.

Ready for anything

The new Erdgeschoss is equipped for any eventuality, including features such as internal dynamo light routing, a rake-adjustable Columbus’ Cross+ carbon fork and sliding dropouts, as well as a Chris King headset built to last forever.  The new Erdgeschoss boasts 50mm tyre clearance at 700cc and 54mm for 650b, ensuring you can fit the right tyre for any adventure.  The bike also retains semi integral cable routing, meaning less faff when a gear cable goes in the middle of nowhere, highlighting the liveability of this lifelong partner.

Steep and Snappy or Long and Lax.

The Erdgeschoss frame is mated to a Columbus’ Cross+ carbon fork, which offers adjustable rake.  This allows riders to fine-tune the handling of the bike depending on tyre size, load weight on the front wheel, or simply adjust for personal preference.  Go steeper for quicker, snappier handling, or stretch the rake out for a more relaxed ride.  Furthermore, the Erdgeschoss also includes sliding dropouts, allowing riders to run a single speed setup, fix the chain tension if the rear derailleur fails in the wilderness, and even make small tweaks to the wheelbase to customise the ride feel.
