How did you end up here?

My journey into sports began with an event management role for a consultancy who handled events for world snooker and Ladies European Tour golf. After gaining experience there, I was asked to move to London to join an athlete management firm, looking after  PGA and European golfers. My path took a turn when a mutual friend introduced me to met Adam. We hit it off immediately, and he invited me to join Fusion and here we are.

 Why Fusion Media?

Joining Fusion Media was somewhat serendipitous. Adam and I have a shared drive and passion for cycling which made it an easy decision. It's exciting to lead a team where pushing boundaries and trying to drive and make change is a shared goal.

What aspects of your role at Fusion excite you the most?

The most thrilling part of my role at Fusion is where we're headed. The independence of being a non-investor-reliant agency allows us to stay true to ourselves and our mission. I'm passionate about ensuring that our work is purpose-driven and impactful.

Any trends you think will dominate in the coming year? What should we be watching out for?

It’s not a ‘trend’ but what I really want to see in the coming year is more diversity in the outdoors, especially in women's cycling, but across all of the outdoor lifestyle industry. Sports and the outdoors should be a safe space for everyone. I think more brands will be conscious, and I hope authentically, focusing on allyship and inclusivity.

A lot of sports marketing is focused on performance - getting faster or improving yourself in some way. I want people to feel they are good enough already and that the ‘success’ in sport can be measured by the camaraderie, experiences and joy you get from participation.

What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?

A simple yet impactful piece of advice I’ve received is to acknowledge emails and contacts within a short period. This practice, particularly in leadership, can have a profound effect on the people you work with. I want everyone to feel that I have really engaged and connected with them.

How do you like to unwind outside of work?

To relax, I love to dance, practice yoga, and spend time in the woods. Maybe I am a hippie at heart.

Finally, if you could have coffee and a chat with anyone who would it be and why?

I've had the privilege of meeting many amazing individuals across my career. Over the past year, I’ve been impressed by the work being done by Kate Veronneau at Zwift and Jen Audia from Liv in marketing in women's cycling. I’d love to get our heads together over a coffee and talk about how having more women in powerful positions in the cycling industry could transform the sport and increase female participation.
