CYCLING HISTORY : Started in 1976 as a schoolboy riding circuit races and time trials for the Crawley Wheelers. Rode as a 1st cat senior for Central Sussex CC. 1984-1986 rode for Willebrord Will Vooruit in Holland.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS : My three years in Holland hold fond memories for me. Personal highlights at this time include finishing in the front groups of the

Tour De L’Est and Ronde D’Elm, as well as riding races such as Paris-Roubaix, Het Volk and Tour of leige.

At home I did a bit of testing and wins included the end of season Bognor Hilly.

CYCLING ASPIRATIONS : Haven’t really got going as a rider for Wild Side but would like to win a vets race now.

CYCLING INSPIRATIONS : Freddy Maertens and Roger De Vlaeminck.
