Status on 30 July 07

We have been trying to re-schedule the Open 25 but a combination of clashes with other events and organisers holiday commitments means that no suitable date is available. The event is therefore cancelled.

Despite the RTT guidelines stating that the organising club may retain the entry fees to cover expenses, we have agreed with our Chairman Dave Miller and Treasurer John Beesley that refunds should be made. Letters and cheques have now been sent to all competitors.

Marshals, officials and helpers will be receiving a letter of thanks but we hope that the cancellation won’t deter you and competitors from participating next year.

Despite cancellation being almost as much work as actually running the event, the organisers are still happy that the correct decision was made. The only feedback that we have received has been positive so I hope that we can take that as general agreement.
